Pellevé
Dr. Dadvand believes that women and men should look young with minimal effort. He added Pelleve to his practice, as this is one of the most pleasant treatments – you will feel as if you receive a warm oil massage, while radiofrequency waves enter your skin and initiate new collagen growth. In Beverly Hills, Pelleve has become the secret weapon of some of Hollywood’s most well-known celebrities. Dr. Dadvand is a kind, caring five-star rated board-certified plastic surgeon and he performs all treatments himself.
Where do Wrinkles Come From?
Facial wrinkles and fine lines are an unfortunate fact of life as we age. They are caused by a number of factors, including muscle contractions stemming from crying, frowning, and smiling over the years and from too much exposure to the sun. There are a number of safe and effective cosmetic procedures across the industry that can be used to this, including dermal fillers, laser treatments, Botox, and radiofrequency technology.
How Does Pellevé Work?
Developed by industry leader Cynosure and FDA-approved in 2009, Pellevé is one of the leading non-invasive technologies available for radio-frequency treatment. The device emits radio waves that penetrate the top layers of skin and heat the tissue underneath to contract and tighten the layers above. In addition, it kickstarts the regeneration process by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.
Pellevé Treatment – What to Expect
Pellevé is very straight forward and simple and does not require any anesthetic to the area in question. Dr. Dadvand will apply a protective gel to help glide the “wand” across the skin in order to deliver the radio waves. In total, the procedure should last about 30 minutes to an hour depending on the areas being treated. Patients generally do not feel any pain or discomfort during the procedure, although some report a sensation similar to being out in the sun too long.
One of the benefits of Pelleve is that there is no downtime. You may need 3-5 treatments in total.
Am I a Good Candidate?
Pellevé can be applied to most parts of the face, but it’s typically used for the face and neck to address skin laxity, including:
- laugh lines
- crow’s feet
- cheek wrinkles
- jowls
- bags under the eyes
- drooping eyelids
Results and Side Effects
The initial results of Pellevé typically last about six months. As the aging process continues, patients are encouraged to come back for touch-ups once to twice a year.
Side effects are generally minor, ranging from swelling to redness. Unlike other radiofrequency procedures, most effects are gone within a few hours.
