Of these, the most common is Botox injections. In this post I will give you some historical insight into Botox, some statistics, as well as some off-label uses of Botox injections that are commonly performed.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First used cosmetically in 1989<\/li>\n<li>FDA approved 2002 for treating glabellar lines: These are the scowl lines we commonly refer to as the \u201celevens.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>2.6 Million Botox treatments\/year: The number of Botox treatments has gone up in the last 5 years.
