Restylane

Restylane is a dermal filler composed of hyaluronic acid that adds volume to the skin. It is an FDA-approved filler used to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the smile lines, or nasolabial folds. Restylane is injected into the dermis and has been used as a filler for over 10 years in over 70 countries.

Dr. Dadvand performs the procedure in the office using topical numbing cream only. Dr. Dadvand takes time to analyze your face, looking at any asymmetries that may exist. Restylane procedures typically take 15 to 20 minutes and the results are immediate. In addition to correcting smile lines, Restylane is also very effective in the lips and corners of the mouth.

Restylane is a very safe product. It contains no animal protein and so allergic reactions are very rare. The most common reactions, if any, are redness, swelling, tenderness, and bruising at the site of the injections. Any reactions typically subside after a few days.

Restylane typically lasts up to 6 months in the nasolabial folds, or smile lines. When used in the lips, Restylane normally lasts 3 to 6 months.
